Restaurant “Nobu” has been one of the best Japanese restaurants of the capital for 10 years already. It is famous for its consistently high quality products and dishes prepared in the best traditions of the land of the rising sun.
We respect the founded traditions, but always strive for the new things. The year 2012 has been a landmark in the life of the establishment—since March, the restaurant “Nobu” is an Asian one! The main focus of the new menu is made on fresh, bold combinations. Bright flavors give a rich palette of traditional Asian spices, seasonings and sauces: ginger, cinnamon, green and yellow curry, nutmeg, turmeric, saffron, chili peppers, wasabi, coriander, curry leaves, lemongrass, galangal, kaffir-lime leaves…
The chief cook of the restaurant, Andrew Skok, was inspired for the new dishes by the Indonesian island spaces and a rich palette of Asian products. While undergoing a study course in a restaurant in Singapore, Andrew frequently visited the “street food’s” communicating with the natives, trying and delving into the specifics of the kitchen and now the chief-cook tries to share the novelties with the Guests.
We highly recommend You to taste: Haru Maki—a warm spring-roll with a crab and a spicy-sweet sauce, one of the most popular dishes of Asia; a salad with a crab tempura—mixed salad with vegetables, crab tempura, spicy green pepper and Ponzu sauce; Ceviche of sea scallops, yellowtail, tuna blue fine prepared respectively to the classic recipes from different species of fish, pre-marinated lime juice.
Tom Yam soup, which we prepare traditionally properly with fragrant spices, lemon grass, ginger and seafood, Indian yellow curry and Thai green curry—for those who love the combination of bright and fresh aromas; Lamb carre—the chief-cook recommends You to try this traditional dish in a new service and combined with teriyaki sauce; Romaine noodles with shrimp in the Asian-style—the native Asian dish, always favorite by the oriental cuisine connoisseurs.
Extremely tasty and healthy are the dishes prepared on the teppan which you also can find in the new “Nobu” menu.
The restaurant’s interior is also renovated. Light wooden tables, cutlery by Guy Degrenne of a saturated matte black color look very much in the Asian style; the rectangular lamps in the style of “modern” with elements of Asian minimalism demonstrate the entirely new way of “Nobu.” It is necessary to add the extremely fresh products, high quality food, culinary skills of the team—and the result is the restaurant that will be appreciated even by the most demanding audience.
New restaurant menu, new approach, renovated interior and the new level of service this is “Nobu” 2012!
